For any question regarding the protection of your data or to exercise your rights, you can contact us by post, by phone or via the contact form.
2. Scope
This policy only covers data processed through the website. Data collected in the course of your medical care at the practice (patient record) is subject to medical confidentiality and to the specific rules of health law; it is not processed via this website.
3. Data processed and purposes
3.1 Visiting the website
When you visit the website, the server of our hosting provider, Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland), automatically records certain technical data: IP address, date and time of the visit, pages viewed, browser type and operating system. This data is necessary for the operation and security of the website (preventing misuse, diagnosing errors). It is not used to identify you and is kept for a limited period, then deleted automatically.
We do not use any audience measurement, advertising or tracking tools (no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels).
3.2 Contact form
When you write to us via the contact form, we process the data you provide: surname, first name, email address, phone number and the content of your message. This data is used solely to respond to your request. It is sent to us by email and is not stored in a database on the website.
Important: the contact form is not intended for sending medical information. Please do not include any health-related data; this information will be discussed during your consultation or by phone.
An invisible anti-spam mechanism is built into the form. It does not collect any additional personal data.
3.3 Online appointment booking (OneDoc)
Online appointments are booked via the OneDoc platform (OneDoc SA, Switzerland), embedded on our "Book an appointment" page or accessible via a link. The data you enter in this module (identity, contact details, reason for consultation, etc.) is processed by OneDoc in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy, available at www.onedoc.ch. OneDoc may use its own cookies in this module. We receive from OneDoc the information needed to manage your appointment.
3.4 Interactive map
The "Contact & Access" page displays a map built with the Leaflet library andOpenStreetMap base maps (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom). To display the map, your browser loads files from the OpenStreetMap servers and from the unpkg.com content delivery service; your IP address is therefore transmitted to them. This map does not set any cookies.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device by your browser. The ophtameyrin.com website does not set any tracking, statistics or advertising cookies. Only strictly technical cookies may occasionally be used (for example for language selection or form security).
When displayed, the OneDoc appointment booking module may set its own cookies, which are necessary for it to work (see section 3.3).
You can configure your browser at any time to refuse or delete cookies. However, refusing technical cookies may prevent certain features from working properly (in particular online appointment booking).
5. Recipients and processors
Your data is never sold or transferred to third parties. It may only be disclosed to the following service providers, to the extent necessary for the purposes described above:
- Infomaniak Network SA, website hosting — Switzerland
- OneDoc SA, online appointment booking — Switzerland
- OpenStreetMap Foundation and unpkg.com, map display — United Kingdom / United States
- Ludovic Roux, web developer, for the technical maintenance of the website — Switzerland
6. Disclosure of data abroad
Some of the service providers listed above are located outside Switzerland. The United Kingdom is recognised by the Swiss Federal Council as providing an adequate level of data protection. For the United States, transfers are made to companies certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or, failing that, are limited to the technical data strictly necessary (IP address) to display the website.
7. Retention period
We only keep your data for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected: messages received via the contact form are kept in our mailbox for as long as necessary to handle your request and follow up with you, and are then deleted.
8. Security
The website is only accessible via an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or disclosure.
9. Your rights
Under the FADP, you have the following rights:
- the right to access the data concerning you;
- the right to have inaccurate data corrected;
- the right to have your data deleted, subject to legal retention obligations;
- the right to object to the processing of your data;
- the right to receive your data, or have it transferred, in a commonly used electronic format.
To exercise these rights, please send us a written request by post to the address given in section 1 or via our contact form. Proof of identity may be requested.
10. Changes
We may amend this privacy policy at any time, in particular if the website or the legislation changes. The version published on this page is authoritative.
