Doctor Nicolas Franceschetti

Dr Nicolas Franceschetti is an ophthalmologist FMH and has been practising in Meyrin since 1998, on the campus of the Hôpital de la Tour. He has focused his practice particularly on preventive ophthalmology, and is interested in various areas of the specialty, such as orthoptic re-education for children, contact lenses, neurovisual re-education and AMD prevention (photobiomodulation and dietary supplements).
He is passionate about continuing the family tradition of ophthalmology, which began with his great-grandmother in Zürich, Dr Anna Bertha Spitzer, followed by his grandfather, Professor Adolph Franceschetti (head of the Geneva Ophthalmology Clinic from 1933 to 1963) and his father, Dr Albert Franceschetti, with whom he practised for more than 20 years.

Dr Horace Massa is an ophthalmologist specialising in cataract surgery, refractive surgery and corneal transplantation, practising in Geneva. He qualified as a specialist in ophthalmology and then as an ophthalmosurgeon FMH in Switzerland.
With in-depth expertise in the treatment of pathologies of the anterior segment of the eye, Dr Massa is particularly renowned for his skills in cataract surgery and refractive surgery, enabling his patients to regain clear, functional vision. He also performs corneal transplants to treat various corneal disorders.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Massa actively participates in therapeutic education programmes, and is involved in scientific research, with several publications to his credit, reinforcing his commitment to the advancement of ophthalmology.

Doctor Stéphan Tobalem

Oculoplasty surgery
Dr Stéphan Tobalem is an ophthalmologist FMH, with an exclusive practice in oculoplastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. He is a consultant for oculoplasty at the Centre Ophtalmologique et Neurovisuel de Meyrin, in close collaboration with Hôpital de la Tour.
A former head of clinic and head of oculoplasty at Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), he trained successively in Switzerland (HUG), France (Fondation Ophtalmologique A. de Rothschild, Paris) and Canada, where he completed a two-year post-specialisation in oculoplastic and orbital surgery at the University of Montreal. He is thus doubly qualified in ophthalmic surgery and plastic, aesthetic and functional surgery of the eyelids, lacrimal ducts and orbit.
Dr Tobalem treats all oculoplastic conditions in both adults and children. His areas of expertise include the correction of palpebral malposition, eyelid reconstruction, the treatment of blepharospasm, lacrimation surgery, the management of dysthyroid orbitopathy, anophthalmic cavities with ocular prostheses, as well as traumatology and orbital tumours.
